How to Sign Up
4th graders start the registration process in April.
Easy as 1-2-3
STEP 1 - 4th graders hear the instruments at an assembly. Parents sign and return the permission slip by Fri. Apr. 12th.
STEP 2 - 4th graders try two instruments at their school. Parents sign and return the permission slip by Fri. Apr. 19th.
STEP 3 - Parents follow up at our registration night to order supplies and register with D47. See you @ HBMS on Mon. May 6th anytime from 3-8pm. More information in this brochure.

4th graders take a field trip to middle school and hear the instruments.

2. Try two instruments
4th graders try two instruments at school and bring home our recommendation for the best success.

3. Parents follow up
- Parents attend our registration event on Mon. May 6, 2024, anytime from 3-8pm @ HBMS, 515 E. Crystal Lake Ave, Crystal Lake.
- Parents must provide a quality instrument and supplies for their student.
- At the registration event, parents can order an instrument and/or supplies from Quinlan & Fabish.
- We prefer that orders are delivered to the school, so our students can start together in 5th grade.
- Consider our recommended brands if you are shopping around. No plastic instruments allowed.
- A quality instrument is crucial for successful learning.
- Parents who register for band with D47 for the 2024-2025 school year can expect a $35 fee to appear in ParentVue by late Fall.
- Parents can visit with their student's band director to discuss any questions about the program.
